Ditchingham Concert

This concert took place because the marquee had been used for a wedding and then stood empty for a few days before it was taken down. The organisers felt that it could be used for a fundraising event, so they sold the tables and guests brought their own picnics. They held an auction and a raffle, laid on some entertainment and raised a significant amount of money for charity.

Here is some of the feedback that we received from the concert: “Last night was a huge success and your soloists and the chorus were fabulous and of course Peter on the piano was brilliance itself! We have raised nearly £5000 which is a wonderful result.”

The charities that benefitted were The Norfolk & Norwich Association for the Blind and The Nancy Oldfield Trust.

What a good way to make use of a marquee!

Suffolk Opera’s performance of Offenbach’s La Belle Hélène at the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds was great fun and very successful
